The curtain was officially drawn on Wednesday 21st December 2016 where starter packs and certificate were presented to trainees of THE NPDC SKILL ACQUISITION PROGRAM (FASHION DESIGN) FOR OML30 COMMUNITIES BY ONUESOKE FOUNDATION. The skill acquisition program which was sponsored by NPDC in collaboration with Onuesoke Foundation was designed to empower and equip unemployed youths of Oml30 host communities with the necessary skill to become successful entrepreneur in the business of fashion-design, thereby helping in reducing youth’s restiveness and restlessness which is prevalent among host communities. The program which lasted for a duration of six months saw 80 participants drawn from various communities in the oml30 CDB group completing the training in fashion design and were also presented with certification and starter packs so as to be able to set-up small-scale fashion business of their own.
