“THE DEARTH OF RURAL SCHOOLS TO DEATH”
EDUCATION IS A RIGHT AND ITS FREE IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS BUT SOME CHILDREN IN SOME RURAL COMMUNITIES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RIGHT NEITHER WILL THEY BE EDUCATED.
CHILDREN IN OKWUAMA EHWU CLAN OF UGHELLI SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT ARE DEPRIVED OF THIS RIGHT. BEEN BORN,DELIVERED IN THE HOUSE AT BIRTH THEY HAVE BEEN DENIED OF HEALTH CARE AS WELL. FOLLOW MY VISIT TO THIS COMMUNITY WHERE THE SCHOOL IS NOT FIT FOR THE KENNEL OF THE DOGS OF OUR LEADERS..WHERE THERE ARE NO TEACHERS NOR SCHOOL PRINCIPAL.
We were told and informed that education is a basic human right and is considered as the basic tool for national development.
All nations in the world today has education policies to that effect, even making it free as an obligation to provide public schools in order to educate the citizenry .
This free education which is also a right for every child and citizens, in rural and urban communities remains a Legal duty , a bound by the government to take it as a priority.
education was before now seen as fundamental to economic development but today its been seen as a matter of what the private sector can offer in good quality to those that can afford it in terms of social economic class of parents. what a short sight to the death of our nation.
